2 complete, without any faults or weaknesses: a perfect performance | a perfect set of teeth | in perfect condition | nobody's perfect spoken (=used when you are answering someone who has criticized you): So I did the wrong thing! Well nobody's perfect.
3 exactly right and just what is needed for a particular purpose; ideal 1 (1): That's perfect! - just the way I wanted it to look. | "D'you want some more soup?" "No, this is perfect." (=enough; plenty) | We've found the perfect actor to play the part.

4 completely correct and accurate: Your English is perfect. | a perfect copy of the original | perfect timing (=when something happens at exactly the right time): "Have you been waiting?" "No, it was perfect timing. I've just arrived."
5 the perfect gentleman/wife/host someone who behaves exactly as a typical gentleman etc ought to behave
6 a perfect stranger/fool/angel etc complete stranger etc: I felt a perfect idiot.
